In April we lost the best four legged friend anyone could ever have. And in May, we gained another one-a 9 week old one, that is. I guess we expected Sammy to be magically healed after we returned from our vacation, but he wasn't....and neither were we. We had kinda thrown the idea of another dog around, but decided against it for the time being. Sam had sort of been attention starved since Cricket had gotten pretty sick, and we wanted time to rebond with him. It got to a point where he was so sad he just refused to eat and we knew we had to do something. So, we looked around at rescues and nothing really caught our eye and we figured that Crickie would send us a sign when the time was right. Chris was looking online one day and came across probably one of the cutest damn boston pups we had ever seen. We went to pick her up after work that same night. Her boston and human family were awesome and that little thing slept all the way home from whatever random town 10 million miles away we picked her up at. None of us had any idea what we were in store for. This little thing is growing by the day, she sleeps upside down, she chews on your feet, shes had her first poo party, runs full blast through the house at midnight, wakes you up at 7am to go outside and then really just wants to dive bomb the grass and eat leaves, and wrestles for 30 min-then sleeps. Miso has turned our house u-p-s-i-d-e d-o-w-n. She's a handful and it's sometimes irritating because you forget what puppies are like, but we love the hell out of her. It's so refreshing to have a completely healthy and active dog on our hands. We haven't had that in so long. Needless to say, Sam now spends his time eating ALL of his food before she does, Wednesday spends her time running away from her, and Chris and I spend our days chasing after Miso. For all of her trouble, she's definately changing our lives and keeping us busy. I now have a cuddle/sleeping partner for life and quite a few action packed boston years to look forward to.....just the way Cricket would have wanted it. Rest In Peace Crickie, we won't ever forget you.............and Welcome Home Miso :)
